Roles and Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services like AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon S3.
Perform data ingestion, transformation, and storage tasks ensuring quality and consistency across systems.
Implement data lake and warehouse architectures to support analytics and AI/ML use cases.
Assist in building, training, and deploying machine learning models using services like Amazon SageMaker.
Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize AI/ML models into production environments.
Evaluate and optimize model performance, integrating best practices for scalability and efficiency.
Utilize AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, and DynamoDB to integrate data workflows and applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot cloud-based environments to ensure reliability and performance.
Follow DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) with tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Keep up-to-date with advancements in AWS technologies and AI/ML frameworks.
Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and training sessions to contribute to a culture of collaboration and learning.
Any Data and AI-related tasks can be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Foundational knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and Lambda.
Experience with programming languages like Python, SQL, or JavaScript.
Understanding of data structures, ETL processes, and database systems (e.g., relational, NoSQL).
Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
Nice to Have
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Data Engineer or AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty.
Exposure to big data tools like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
Experience with data visualization tools like QuickSight or Tableau.
Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools for automating AI/ML workflows.
